Cleaning and Care
Teak wood is so strong and durable, that even without varnishing it will last many years. We do recommend oiling or staining and sealing your investments to get the longest life out of this beautiful outdoor furniture.
Overtime teak wood will develop an attractive, natural silvering. To reveal the natural beauty and remove normal dirt and debris, wash your furniture annually using a gentle cloth or brush and a solution of soap and water.
To prevent silvering and extend the life of your investment, following your annual cleaning allow the furniture to fully dry and then apply a generous and thorough application of teak oil. This will help retain the wood's natural tone and resupply the natural oils that make teak wood so strong, durable and stain-resistant.
Wipe up any spills immediately. Use a soft cloth and press into spill to fully absorb it. If necessary, wipe with a damp cloth to remove any remaining residue.
Avoid placing hot pots or items directly onto the teak wood surface to prevent scorching and avoid sharp items to prevent gauging.
